10mmbeads.com is Catholic owned and operated family business. We first started this business through our local church's Sunday bulletin. We first made rosaries that were traditional sizes of 6-8 mm, but we kept getting requests for larger rosaries. To our surprise, we found it more enjoyable to make these larger rosaries because of the wonderful feel of the heavier weight and the beauty of the big beads. A few years ago, we made this our specialty and now focus solely on making these larger-sized rosaries.
Our customers are many and varied, from individuals suffering from arthritis who need a bead easier to grasp when they pray, to those whom simply like the feel of a larger bead, to even parents ordering their child a heirloom large rosary as a first communion gift. Case in point, the hands featured in our theme picture throughout our website (above right), belong to our beloved nephew (8 years old at the time), taken on his First Holy Communion day. He is, of course, holding a 10mm black onyx rosary made by us.
